Some of the many benefits of Matcha green tea include:

In searching for ways to consume Matcha tea I learned the following:
- Drink ½ - 2 teas per day
- Because of the caffeine it’s better to consume in the morning
- ONLY DRINK MATCHA WITH LOW PROTEIN LIQUIDS LIKE WATER, RICE MILK, COCONUT MILK, ALMOND MILK. DRINK ON AN EMPTY STOMACH AND NOT AS PART OF A MEAL OR WITH FOOD, AS FOOD INTERFERES WITH THE ABSORPTION OF THE POLHYPHENOLS - (“the systemic absorption was significantly higher for EGCG taken in capsules without food after an overnight fast than it was when it was taken in capsules with a light breakfast or imbedded in a strawberry sorbet.EGCG”). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4665468/
- AVOID commercial Matcha drinks as they are high in sugar and mixed with dairy, thus negating the health benefit. Peet’s Coffee Matcha latte contains 44 grams of sugar (10.56 teaspoons) and Starbuck’s contains 55 grams sugar (13.2 teaspoons)
At last I have created a Matcha drink that I actually really like!
2/3 Cup Vanilla Almond Milk, warmed
1 Teas. Ujido Matcha Green Tea
Whisk to dissolve tea into the milk. Add a dash of Cardamom. Drink first thing in the morning.
